How it works
- The landlord signs in and connects their own Stripe account. Rent is charged on that account, so it goes only to the landlord. We never hold rent.
- The landlord adds properties and units, and writes the other way they take rent (for example a check by mail). California law does not let a landlord insist that rent be paid electronically, so every bill shows that other way.
- The landlord invites each tenant by email. The tenant opens the link and signs in.
- Each month a bill is made for the rent. Tenants get an email a few days before it is due.
- Tenants pay by debit card, once or with autopay on the due date. The card type is checked first; credit and prepaid cards are refused.
- A late fee is added only after the grace days, and only up to the limit for the property's area.
- Refunds happen only when the landlord approves one, back to the same card.
Our price: no charge for now. Tenants pay us nothing.
